Vale Bruce Ewen

Bruce was a Commodore of the Altona Yacht Club for many years. Bruce was not only the longest serving Commodore but also the youngest to start at the age of 17 in 1957 as his first tenure. A well liked member and passionate about sailing. Our condolences to the Ewen Family. The funeral is at Altona Memorial Park, Altona North on Monday 26th June at 10:00am

Altona Yacht Club 2017 Presentation night, Sat 24th June. Starting at 7.00 pm

As per the past few years it will be a casual dress evening with Buffet style meals brought in by fellow members.
You are encouraged to bring a dish or plate of food for the buffet or perhaps a desert. (Tin Foil Dishes recommended)

We have been selling raffle tickets for some great prizes.

A custom made “Buoy Sailor” duffle bag made out of pre loved sails and fitted out with the best of zips and fastenings by our own club member Bruce Leighton.
A $ 100 gift vouched from “The Dinghy Shop” donated by our own Jim Scott
A Ronstan Clear Start sailing watch donated by Ronstan.

These are great prizes so even if you have brought a ticket or two it will be worth investing in more on the night !

Lyn Sleeman along with a group of courageous actors will be presenting an encore performance of their play “Ken’s Beans”

This will be a great night for all to enjoy so please make the effort, cheer on the winners, have a go at the raffle and enjoy the show.

Hope to see you there.
