Club owned boats will be available for lease to Club members who have participated in the previous season’s Start Sailing 1&2 class. The Committee are endeavoring to encourage and help new members to get on the water and race before they buy their own boat. Cost and conditions are laid out below.
$200.00 DAMAGE BOND is payable on agreement to lease.(refundable at season’s end when boat is returned undamaged)
Boats must be raced in at least 60% of races during the summer season.
Boats will be leased to a member for one season with a bond only fee and there after a bond plus lease
Lessees must have participated in the AYC Training Course during the previous season.
Applicants for the lease of a Pacer must do so as a Skipper/Crew combination with two names on the form. Both people will be responsible for the boat. In the case of a change of Skipper and Crew, a new application with an extra fee for the replacement person, must be made.
The boats are to be maintained in a responsible manner, as if they were the lessee’s own. Failure to take proper care of a boat will result in the Training Committee taking back the boat (without a refund), and leasing to another member.
Boats will be used by the beginners class on Saturday morning. Any damage to boats occurring during this time MUST be reported to the Training Officer by the Lessees before further use.
Please note these club boats are for Training graduates only
